Don't hate the businessman for doing good business. Hate their patrons who tell them they can get away with it.

Why wouldn't you dish out a few more dollars and get a new PS3 with 3X the storage capacity?

The reason you got such stupid answers were because you didn't say that you brought your ps3 to another friend's house. Therefore, people assumed that you had just brought your own controller to another ps3 owning friend's house. Just be sure to include all the necessary details next time you need a question answered.

So I had to send in my PS3, and today I received a new ps3 in place of my old one. That's all fine, except I need to sign in to my PSN account, and I have no idea how (it asks me to sign up, which I did on my old one) So how can I sign in, so I can redownload all my old stuff, and keep my online profile. Thanks

It depends on the game, really. Most people bought MW2 for the online, I know I did. But Uncharted 2 has sick single player, but the online is meh; buying that for the online is stupid.

Well, I'd say as a last resort and I mean LAST resort, try reformatting the hard drive. If you cant access anything anyways, you really do not have much to lose. But again LAST resort, cause there may be another way.

What I've been trying to reiterate is that everything is working, I'm just going to have to redownload my games. What's bothering me is the tremendous load time of something so simple as the home screen.

Did you maybe turn off your PS3 when you shouldn't have? I.e during a save or update? That happened to someone I know before and everything went vorrupted and he had to re-format the hard drive

Kaladesskel
Not that I know of. I mean, if I did, would I have all of my video downloads, and game save files. I'm sure I can redownload the games, (except maybe the bad company beta) it's just not something I want to have to do.

AS of today, I've been having a problem with my ps3 where I will turn it on, and that recycle-like symbol comes up under all the main icons. This continues for around 5 minutes until everything loads like it should. Everythin exept my game downloads and demos, they're nowhere to be found. All my other downloads are there like they should be.
