Now (after starting this game and leaving the fans with expectations) Square Enix is starting to examine better the games it makes. Square... if you wanna make a big change about the next FF games, AT LEAST FINISH THIS GAME ALREADY!

I only met FF when I played the remakes of III and IV (they're great btw) I don't like that much the XIII. I'm more used to the old mechanic. (I think the battle system of XIII is confusing...) I personally prefer a lot more the old ones. (VIII and XII were great too!) If you ask why, that's because there's something in the old ones that is not too present in the new ones. (I like the fact the others had more places to explore.)

Sakurai is a master at directing games, look at the Smash Bros., Brawl released at 2006, but until today a lot of people play this! (I play this until today.) Maybe what Sakurai wants is the people to enjoy this game not being anxious about sequels. Maybe it won't take this long like 20 or 25 years. If we waited about 6 years for a sequel of Smash without getting anxious, we can do that with Kid Icarus. Also, he has the Smash Universe to work, he wants an amazing result just like KIU.
