It's funny, and I'll admit not just a little fetching, to see you wearing tank tops as it is the dead of winter here in the States. I forget that your seasons are basically opposite our own. Must be hot over there. I always love your vids, keep it up! And since I never played Brothers, thank you also for making me spend more money...

Just look at some of these comments... Talk about "depressing." Why do so many of you people feel that GameSpot owes you anything? I'll bet that Danny could do some quick searching and find out what percentage of you actually PAY for the all of the site's great content and features. Oh yeah, I almost forgot America is suffering a SEVERE entitlement crisis.

GameSpot and Danny O'Dwyer don't owe you a THING, folks. My guess is Danny works long hours for crap pay to do something he loves, which is take the gaming world beyond the blind button-mashing, mind-numbing image that most of the world believes that the gaming world is comprised of. If they saw a fraction of your comments, I sure as hell couldn't argue with their line of thinking.

Bottom-line: CONTRIBUTE, offer constructive criticism or praise or shut the hell up.

Danny - well done as always, friend. Though, you didn't keep your promise about "getting your tits out" and I watched it ALL the way to the end...

As usual, Cam, very interesting show. While you offered some good psychological evidence of why we might believe GameSpot is on the take, you missed a major opportunity to discuss the fact that precedent has been set in the past for this practice. For example: payola on the radio. For those that don't know what that was, record producers were offering cash to radio DJs if they played their records more often than others. So while there IS a little conspiracy theorist in all of us, as you suggested, it's not exactly like we're coming up with this possibility out of the clear blue sky.

Beings that aren't human that may or may not know they're human? A la Battlestar Galactica? What about Blade Runner?

@Zloth2 @jackmojo1 I agree with that Zloth2 - but here's a fact that proves my point: On nearly all sites/retailers, the Day One XBone is sold out and already going up on ebay and people are buying it for almost twice the retail price. The people buying them up the most aren't people who watched every minute of E3 or Comicon - they're just people that WANT it because they'll have the next new thing.

I'm still not 100% convinced. I DO agree that the 60fps image seemed smoother, but is that where all our processing power ingenuity be spent?

Per Cam's video, each frame in a game is pushed out as a "perfect" image unlike film which has blurred frames. I don't know HOW the hell you'd do it, but why not invest in figuring out how to achieve the fluidity of motion-picture quality framerate (24fps) and save all that extra processing power to create better aliasing or textures that rival the real thing?

My point is, we have a finite amount of power to use, we are limited by current monitor tech so why spend all of ingenuity on something that has a built-in ceiling? Let's start a kickstart compaign to create a lab to investigate new ways to present the images instead of pumping all our extra power into something we've already reached the ceiling on.

Who's with me!!??

Game offerings won't matter that much at all. A new iPhone comes out every year and on each release more and more people upgrade/spend hundreds simply because it's "the new thing." That's exactly what we'll get next month. The VERY discerning few of us might let the game offerings sway them, but people will buy them up because, whether they will live up to the hype or not, whether their game lineup is/will be the best or not, it's "the new thing" and they will HAVE to have it.

Johnneh - I think you should change the title of your show from Feedbackula to Voice-of-reason...ackula. As always, you're the only one with the right perspective on these issues.

@forcesofhabit Not entirely. Let's consider this statement: "It's perfectly fine to murder and steal and cause general anarchy so long as women are respected."

In a nutshell that's what she's saying. Forget all the other ways the characters in the game promote pretty awful things -- the only one that matters is misogyny? That's an unfair assessment. I would have TOTALLY agreed if she gave equal weight to the fact that GTA V's characters also commit all those other sins. But alas...
