@dasch: Sounds like it could be Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn, a sequel to the original Baldur's Gate.

In it you start out imprisoned by the magical equivalent of a mad scientist. Imoen frees you and you must make your way out of the lab. You free a few of your old companions from the original Baldur's Gate along the way.

This is a great thing you are doing.

I'm trying to remember a flash game I played a year or two ago, though it could be older. I don't remember what site I found it on, but back then I was almost always on kongregate or jayisgames, so it might have been from one of those sites. It was a puzzle platformer where you played as a robot that had to get from the left side of the screen to the right. However, if you didn't follow all the rules before you got there, you would explode, the rule you violated would appear in the right hand corner, and you'd have to do the level over again. This was the only way to learn the rules. I remember the first rule you learn was that you had to turn go before you exited the level. I also think there was a rule that you couldn't leave any enemies alive or have any bullets left when you exited the level, but I'm less sure about that. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
