[QUOTE="iusm78"][QUOTE="GodLovesDead"][QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="iusm78"]Do you really think that there's no difference between bottled water and tap water? Good lord the tap water where I live would choke a donkey.GodLovesDead
Water is water. Well-treated tap water along with a Brita filter tastes fine... it's water. There is no difference in taste unless it is heavily chlorinated. I find it depressing that I live in a society that can bottle water and sell it as a premium brand item when we have perfectly drinkable free-flowing water delivered straight to our clean and extremely sanitary homes and there are places in the world where they are forced to drink from fecal-infested rivers overflowing with water-borne diseases. And these days we're trying to be more energy efficient and preservative with the environment, yet here we are wasting resources by drinking bottled water.
I think people need to get off of their high horses and soap boxes. It's water people. It's an industry that pays for many people's livelihoods. You talk about being energy efficient and preservative with the environment... where do you come up with that statement? Most designer water producers pride themselves on being incredibly green.
It's a waste of materials and energy. They are "green" compared to other companies, but not compared to never have existed n the first place.
Well that's a pretty ridiculous thing to argue. It's a waste of materials and energy? What materials? What energy? Are you talking in extreme generalities? There are people who are paying for the service. That's all. You could make your argument about anything. Why have refridgeration in grocery stores? Why not just buy fresh food and store less? I mean you're being too general.
