New media has been shown to inspire discontent in people for generations, people always look for reasons for why something they don't understand is bad. It is the same way in which every generation sees the next as worse, oh our generation wasn't like this, and piece together random pieces of stuff to try and show why, so new media is an easy target. People have been under the illusion that new generations are worse since the time of the ancient Egyptians, and have found random reasons to blame,

I am in no way saying that violent games do not contribute to violence in real life, but there is as much reason to believe the opposite.

@Furwings While this may be true you should also consider the fact that most consoles sell well for a periods and afterwards have a period of low sales. I have all 3 lol.
