[QUOTE="ghoklebutter"] Well, if you don't care about love for that reason, it's a whole different matter. But trying to find love again surely won't hurt you. Just my two cents.

I would rather pursue getting more money than chase women who maybe one will make me work really hard to get a date with. I mean it is hard getting the success but once you make it I would imagine the successful career and the money would be a lot more fulfilling than some woman. It is alot easier to do anything the wealthier you get.

[QUOTE="inartistic"][QUOTE="ghoklebutter"] You can buy partners, but you can't buy love, necessarily.ghoklebutter

Well they would love me as long as I had money. Many many people love money, infact I would claim most people love money.

You wouldn't have a problem with someone loving you merely because you're rich?

Personally, I'd rather be with someone who loves me for who I am, not what I have.

Well for me, I love myself not because I am particularly attractive or good at anything I just love myself. That is probably what cripples my artistic pursuits is my high confidence and I am a little paranoid (which is a disease of narcissism imo). Why would I need some woman to love me? I mean I tried romantic crap with multiple women and girls when I was a boy where I learned that people are not into the actual love... The actual words. I mean I am not into sex but I would rather **** women or have a woman only into me for my money than pseudolove that would more than likely arise from settling on each other. Money can buy a whole lot to make you happy "love" is hardly essential to life by any means.

yeah, money is power. i would castrate myself to be rich, sadly most of rich... or semi rich are born into their wealth (like Trump, Buffet) or really talented (celebrities) it takes money to make money they say. You can go to school 10 years to be a doctor and make much less than the wealthy.

[QUOTE="inartistic"]Scenario 2. I mean with money you can pretty much buy love if you wanted anyways and you can improve your looks and live a happier life. The only problem with 2 is the sex.ghoklebutter

[QUOTE="mindstorm"]Very much so. Just thinking of how I am now a Masters student is in and of itself something that I find amazing. There was a time as a child that I did horribly in school. However, by the time of high school I began doing well enough to eventually graduate in the top 5%, obtain a full ride through college, and now work my way through seminary. As far as spiritually, I once laid awake every night questioning whether there existed a God, whether there was any reason to put forth any effort in life, and whether life was had any value. However, now I am in love with the God of the Scriptures, I love his church, and I wish to do nothing more in my life than equip the saints to fulfill God's call upon their own lives. Socially, I once feared even simple conversations with anyone and was extremely awkward socially. I was insecure in my social interactions and would isolate myself from others. However, now I have no lack of friends or the ability to make new ones. Also, whereas before I feared simple conversation now one of my greatest joys and highs in life comes from preaching the gospel from the Scripture to the church that Christ came and died in order to save.

That is great, I applaud you on all your hard-work and commitment. I am glad you find strength in your faith as well, it is nothing to be ashamed of at-least imo and I am not really a religious person. I hope you bring the joy you feel into the life of many others as well through your preaching to others who may be agnostic.

50 minutes for a 10k is amazing especially for a recreational jog with 50,000 people, anything over 5k I doubt I could do haha. I know 25 minutes per 5k does not sound amazing to some but the long an event the more time each mile gets so that is actually pretty amazing (not being sarcastic). Congrats on your marks as well. I myself have been failing on a massive scale. My first semester my GPA was a 2 and I need a 3 to maintain my scholarship. I have dropped both of my math courses and might fail my science course >_> I feel like an idiot(rightfully so) and might have to drop out now. I did not really expect much... I feel like I let other people down though. My physique I did track in HS (not the best but I eventually got decent ) declined, over summer I lost my moral highground I usually maintain, and my bellow average looks declined further (balding). I also lost what little reputation and respect I had. I hate to sound whiny but you asked haha. So did I fail my expectations? Not really, I do not expect much of myself. I did fail others expectations of me though.

I have never met someone who got high off of cough syrup... Personally I would have done it but I can not say no. I would not be upset about it though. I hope you do not imagine her brother dying because you did not buy the cough syrup... I am sure she found someone else to buy it.

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"] That would be monetization not a partnership unless you have a ton of videos. It can be a couple of dollars, but there's plenty of people with 100K+ subscribers that make a living from Youtube, now it may not be a lot of money and you have to consistently put up videos and get a lot of views (20 to 30K+ at least) but if you had a choice between working at McDonalds and making Youtube videos I know which one I'd choose.

Do you get in trouble if you use copyrighted material for monetization? I try to reconsider whether or not my move was a good move. It was only 70k views so it probably would have only made me dollars like you said. I would feel kinda bad making youtube videos for a living but I can understand why people do it given how hard the entertainment industry is to get into and because they are talented/hardworking. I would want a job to supplemental making yt videos but I realize jobs can be detrimental to creativity sometimes. I do not get the hate some youtube performers get when it is hard to make a video that is good.

These two.

The Young Turks

Young Turks are cool, Cenk is entertaining. Isn't the Young Turks on Current TV though? I know that Cenk used to be on MSNBC and run his web show.
