@kevin_42 People in the industry must be asking for MS to defend the point. There's been enough evidence to suggest it from the confusion MS had from the beginning, kinect not ready, scaled back launch, etc. Either they are incompetent or they are not ready. Not good either way.
@shloob1 Sony fans are ruining gaming? Who is the cry baby? MS has slit it's own throat. They didn't have to make the choices they made(despite the Adam Orthy shit storm), make the lies they have, look like the biggest hypocrites in gaming history(reversing everything the XB1 was intended to be, only to become just like Sony) and constantly appear as the console is not ready for launch. Several games look like shit. Dead Rising 3 running at 30 fps, ryse looking rough, lococycle looking like an early 360 game) Forza looks to be the only exclusive worth a buy. And if XB1 isn't ready for launch, fine, wait till it is. Don't sell a half assed system. Months ago I was ready to get the console. But every month they make it harder to defend it worth the buy at launch. So talk about a pole rider.....
Even Nintendo moved away from the motion control. They saw gamers were tired of the novelty. Kinect is an accessory and should be offered to gamers as just that. You want, go buy it. You have no interest in talking or waving your hands at your tv then pass on it. With the $100 price difference and the majority of gamers indifference to the kinect, it's not a benefit to them. But, given all the stupid things MS has done with the XB1, I'm not shocked they refuse to be reasonable.
As for the developer argument, how much did developers bother to try to use this kinect? It has a camera and a mic. So you can motion to it or talk to it. Not very revolutionary. What incredible experience have you had with kinect? What incredible experience did MS offer for it? Got nothing here memorable. It sits on my tv collecting dust since about a month after buying the damn thing. So I'm not seeing or hearing anything incredible coming to kinect 2.0 either. It's the same shit(with a better camera) No reason gamers should to have to buy it.
@Thisisstupid How much more can it do than we have already seen with the first kinect? It's a camera, it has a mic..... Ok, the camera is better now. So what. I use the controller.
They are making a mistake with this thing. It's not revolutionary, and gamers have shown they are not into this side of gaming.
