Why do fanboys of any product/platform hate so much other products/platforms? If it doesn't harm you, let it alone. By the way, I don't have to say what would happen without competition.
I wonder how long the TV show would have lasted (amount of seasons/episodes/runtime) and how it would have ended if Martin had completed the saga (novels) on time. Moreover, I wonder if the backslash/opinions will influence how Martin completes the saga. We will never know.
I know it is a matter of personal taste but being accustomed to my Home Theater setup (big screen and surround loud sound) I don't fancy playing (or watching movies) on a handheld device or tablet.

@just1mohr: Indeed. Proprietary internal batteries are more difficult to get and replace by the typical user than standard AA batteries (moreover, manufacturers discourage tinkering with the internal battery). Most of the time, when the internal battery dies you have to throw away the controller. And yes, my controllers have had a lifespan far longer than any battery.
@j3diknightdave: Because watching 8 episodes is too much time to waste. I prefer to wait for the whole season to be out and read the reviews. I have more than 20 shows (+ more than 30 movies + dozens of video games + work + duties + chores + misc activities + resting) on queue, so I have to choose wisely what to watch and optimize my time.
