It's kind of like prostitution or drugs. The more you make it illegal, the more it's wanted by consumers. The hackers of the DRM want to be able to crack the code and list it so they can say they were the first. Just when it seems DRM thinks they have the ultimate uncrackable code, along comes some genius mind with a crack for it and its posted on some Warez site. This isn't something new. To show how old I am, they used to have cracks to disable the lead-on head banging tracks on the Commodore 64/128 games. I look at DRM as Mt. Everest. If it's there, people are going to try and crack it.
