@putaspongeon: My gripes with the combat is that it's badly implemented. If it remained minimal but didn't bug out on who I had to parry, I wouldn't have a problem with it. If that's what makes this a "trash" review, then uhhhhhhh ok.
@TheWatcher000: I echo the sentiment that looking at different perspectives and reviews is a great idea. I did check out the ACG review after you mentioned it, and I think we just simply disagree about certain aspects. Nothing more, nothing less. Things I didn't like were just fine to him, and vice versa. You can't put too much weight in any one review, unless you're super familiar with the reviewer him/her self. If that's the case here, no worries.
I just don't think your comment that "Gamespot really isn't the place to come for a review of a game like this" isn't fair at all. But I respect your reply and take nothing personally! We'll agree to disagree, it's all good.
@mpl911: I second this sentiment, 6 isn't a bad score. Different people have different perceptions on the number scale and that's fine. Your enjoyment will also depend on expectations. If you want a straight-forward stealth game that does a lot of what past stealth games have done, I say you'd enjoy this game on some level. It definitely has its moments, but I just view its detractors as a pretty big deal.
@Gelugon_baat: I haven't picked up on a Splinter Cell reference, but I don't doubt something like that. I did come across Dishonored, Thief, and Assassin's Creed references, all of which were pretty eye-rolling. Writing is most certainly not a strong point of the game.
@edhc44: That would be dope. But I think it's just going to be puzzle based on what I saw and discussed with the Devs, which is still pretty sweet as is.
