"Among Unions, DWU, among generals, Mits." -Emperor harden007

The Renowned General Mitsuhideakechi joined the union during the Great Upheaval of The Middle Kingdom in the spring and summer of 2007. His first mention in the Ancient Chronicles is his paying of homage to noahcycle12 on the latter's coronation as The Eighth Emperor of the Dynasty Warriors Union in July of that year. Among the few to survive the purges and chaos of the Great Upheaval, Mits gained renown as one of the few loyal warriors during Emperor Buttman's successful year long reign which ended in 2008. For his exploits, Buttman promoted Mits to to the most honored rank of General in the winter of 2008.

Mitsuhideakechi's flame continued to rise during the second reign of The Golden Emperor, harden007. Instrumental in the glorious revival of the union, Mits was chosen to participate in the Conquest of the Dynasty Warriors Alliance and the Invasion of Japan, two of the most glorious military campaigns in DWU history. Shortly after the inauguration of the New Kingdom Era by harden007, Mits started an RPG game on the forums with his Sworn Brother Voork which helped to break the Union's previous weekly posting count record of 600 posts in one week.

Mits remained a loyal general throughout the New Kingdom Era, continuing to lead his troops under harden007, the second reign of JeffSteel, and the reign of The Last Emperor Bruneauinfo. Mits was one of the last members of the Old Union before The Downfall, having served the Empire without interruption through the reigns of at least six emperors, making him possibly the most active poster in Union history. Today, Mitsuhideakechi is honored as one of the Three Divines and one of the greatest heroes of the Middle Kingdom and New Kingdom Eras.

@wonzan: We had to make a special request to Gamespot back when they ended unions. They deleted all the unions but kept the forums tucked away in a corner for those who specifically asked for that.

We've kept it more or less as a memorial. We have a steam group where we "kinda" keep in touch. It's called, ironically, "Dynasty Warrior's Union." You can search for Ice_King/harden007 or bruneauinfo or JeffSteelMan and friend us to get an invite.

Just saw a guy in a game I play named Gianfranco, which is Jeffhardy's real name. I tried to PM the username to see if it's him but no response, and his steam hasn't been active in years.

You mean manually copy this place? This would be one hell of a project.

Keeping the material is what's important, the union itself will be gone, and only a forum would be left. I'm not happy that anyone could post here, but even now we dont have outsiders coming in and poasting, and it sounds like even finding the neew DWU forum wont be easy. Keep talking, I want to know what your opinion on this. 

So you're still opting for a strategy of copying key threads and letting it die, because GS is probably lying anyways, amirite?

Bruno's keep everthing but lock all the topics sounds possible, but they might all "auto-unlock" during the conversion. Who knows what will happen to things like locked threads.
