After the first one duped us, did anyone really expect a decent game? Game development nowadays is all flash and no substance.

@R3FURBISHED: This. If you want the put all the deeper lore into a codex/grimoire that's all well and good but why in the flying **** would I not be able to access any of it IN GAME? Beyond dumb.

@Keitha313: For you maybe, I much prefer the theater. The larger screen and higher quality sound makes it a far more memorable experience.

Between this game and the Rainbow 6 Siege patches, it's become painfully clear that Ubisoft is incapable of hiring competent developers. Every single time they roll out a patch for either game to fix bugs or add content, they break something else in the game dramatically. How does this seriously keep happening?

@whatsazerg: Did you even read the article? The outcomes aren't changing, just the characters reactions to the outcomes so that they make more sense. Reading comprehension skills, do you have them?

Gave up on this series a while ago, optional or not, microtransactions in a AAA, fully priced title is an automatic turn-off. All it means is that there is some sort of grind element in play to torture you into wanting to pay to bypass it. Sadly, people buy into this shit so it will never end.
