@HSV002 I understand what you're saying, and i will agree with you in some parts, but with that logic why should you buy a new pair of shoes, you already have and they're just working, or new shirts?
But that's how society works; go blame the schools, the parents, the television and news, the markets, the System. But that's not Apple's fault. Everyone is doing it because that's how it works. It's not wrong. Now, I'm living at Greece. People here live live the absolute humiliation and poverty. I will give 700E for a phone and the basic salary here is 600E. But don't blame me or anyone who's giving this amounts for anything, blame the System. And because we can't just change how things are working, there is no point to argue about the current social political situations and how over consuming is wrong...
@Daian Bigger Screen is not a positive element for everyone. And of crouse it has higher resolution, because the display is bigger, but the ppi are lower and it doesn't meets the RGB standard. I never needed an SD slot in my life, neither a removable battery, they would interrupt with the iPhone's beautiful design. SD might be considered a plus, but it's not a basic criterion to buy a new phone. CPU and graphics we will see soon with 5's results. And Flash. Flash is dead. Not even Adobe supports mobile Flash anymore. And the iPad phenomenon proved that the web works just great even without Flash. And smaller retail price? GS3 has the same price as 4S, more than 600E contract-free around Europe. But you, like Samsung with its ads, can't understand that's not always about the features. It's about the experience you gain from the use. And yes, you're giving 600E for a GS3 and it's an ugly, plastic thing. iPhone's quality and precision is amazing, can't wait to get it and hold it. Also, don't forget that Apple is a company which focuses in one phone every year, while Samsung released 10+ handsets this year...
@Daian Sorry for the disappointment. But i believe that the user experience and the ecosystem Apple offers cannot be super passed for me. Which handset is the best in the market for you? I would love to hear your opinion.
@Daian There are not "good companies". And I don't think that Apple tries to overcome any competition. They already had. 2mil in 24h. I don't care about the "good" companies who are getting hurt by the lawsuits, it's their responsibility to use their own technologies or license them. I haven't saw Apple and MS at the courts. Not for the Surface, not anything. And that's why Apple and MS are having an agreement related to design and stuff. So, if they wanted to avoid it, they were able to. And you shouldn't hate how corporations are working, that's their nature, numbers and business...
Now, I'm against the year-by-year upgrades as well. And I don't think most of the people are doing them. In the US there are 2-year-contracts after all. I'm an owner of iPhone 4 and I will make the upgrade. Some of the iOS6 features are not entirely supported because of the hardware, plus i missed all of 4S' features like Siri. I'm looking forward to the new design, to upgrade my camera which i love, LTE, of course the beautiful display and i also want to adapt with the new plug standard. I think 2 years is a pretty satisfying period of time to make an upgrade to your smartphone in today's world.
I would made this upgrade either way, so you might ask me why not Android or another device/ os. Well, I'm a Mac user and i also have an iPad. I love Apple's unique ecosystem, i have spend a lot of money on the App Store and iTunes. The iCloud is incredible convenient for me and i think that with 3 iOS devices and a Mac, iPhone 5 is the right way to go. So i see no reason why not if you already have invested in this ecosystem...
@Daian There are some pretty reliable sources saying that the next GS's coming on March. That's 9 months from the 2's release. And explain me how GS3 is better than the iPhone 5. And please, no stupid arguments like those in this desperate Samsung ad...

@Daian Nothing in this level deserves hate. A murderer deserves hate, a raper deserves hate. Apple doesn't deserves hate because of a product they build and that you have, either way, no intension to buy. You can't hate something you can't afford or don't want to have. By "analyzing the situation and coming to the conclusion that the subject in question" it deserves to be criticised with valid arguments which are supporting this kind of criticism. Understand, please, that it's different to say "the iPhone 5 is a letdown, i'm not satisfied and the competition is better" and "I want to burn f*cking Apple down, they steal people, blah blah blah, I'm against the system and I'm a liberator! I even support Anonymous. Let's liberate the poor Apple slave-sheeps! Fiiire!" So yeah...
@Daian I'm supporting the Apple lawsuits. It's something everyone does when some of their creations are being threatened and stolen. Samsung Fandroids even accused the weather for the verdict, everything was wrong according to them. Ridiculous...
Now, the consumers are suffering from the irresponsibly of the manufacturer they buy their handset from. Samsung knew, they used to sent each other email and saying "We need to include that feature, make it more like it [the iPhone]". So i don't see how Apple is responsible for another company's irresponsibility.
And of course you're fanboys, fanboys of hate and contempt. Of "better" competitors. You're not thinking even for a minute before you criticise everything Apple. And there are people, in here as well, who are supporting other labels, they're fanboying for someone else. Does that making them less stupid because they workship another brand? Why do you criticise only Apple and its followers? And no, i don't think that all the people are buying the iPhone because they think it's the best phone out there, but the thing is that it is the best phone out there...
