No your cpu is fine. What games are you playing? Also what is your psu?04dcarraher
Bought a new 500 watt Jean Tech thing. And i've tried stress tests in CS:S and it seems roughly the same, as well as F.E.A.R. I've also bought a new 22" monitor but even at my old res the FPS is still roughly the same as the 7600GT.

You could overclock your CPU. You won't find the large boost in gaming your looking for with a upgrade, you'll have a slight improvement but nothing better.SinfulPotato
Yeah, but the lack of improvement from the new graphics card, is this because the CPU is a bit **** :D

I've recently upgraded from a 7600GT to 9600GT and have seen little to no improvement. Could this be because of my CPU?

C2D E6600 @ 2.4GHz, 2GB DDR2 RAM and the 9600GT OCX.

The card should have

  • clock speed of 725MHz
  • shader clock of 1850Mhz
  • memory clock of 1950MHz

However, in RivaTuner it's only reporting with a memory clock of 975MHz. Help? :D

Probably because you're playing ad-hoc (local) multiplayer. This allows a few PSP's in the same area to play together. GTA doesn't support online multiplayer, I'm not so sure about the other game.

It's been a while since I've used the PS Store so I'm not sure if this is a new implemented feature. I'm trying to re-download a game but when I click download I get a .xpd file only a few bytes big. Have they released an app or...? Confusing, please help :~D

I'm using the UK store if that's of any use.
