Yep. You're right. It's the pinnacle of current-gen facial animation just like God of War: Ascension if the best over-all graphical game of current-gen!
As far as real-time facial animations Beyond: TS is the best has ever been done. La Noire has the more accurate facial expressions but it suffers from the uncanny-vally; lacks human qualities and soulless. Halo 4 has lots of CGI cut-scense and the few videos that do have real-time are cartoony facial animations of Cortana and Master Chief IN A F***KING HELMET! Talk about bullish*tter! lol
Halo 3 looks better than Halo 2. But not that much. It's more an overall look. But not as good as say Gears or Uncharted (more textures and shadowing effects).
