What ifs like "What if we pull COD from day one Game Pass?" "What if we put 4 games on PlayStation for now and see what happens?" "What if we opened a mobile store that's actually just a website with links to existing app stores?" Every few days there's something new. Xbox doesn't have a business strategy at this point. They are flailing around praying that something, ANYTHING will stick with consumers. And here we thought "TV TV TV" was the business strategy to do Xbox in... they shouldn't have to. if they did it sony way bringing games to ps plus year later game sales on xbox would of made there money without putting there games on the competitors console. which = more xbox console sales. gamers need competition for each console.
if not they will just become lazy like ps3 and 360 error. ps3 had to wake up and make better games last few years of its life. then 360 they got lazy at end of its life cycle and let all there first party go and had xbox one launch disaster.
it's just the current reality.. as stated by the CEO of Sony, PlayStation's future is on console, PC, cloud, and mobile..

And yet Xbox is in the position they’re in right now because of their console sales. Game Pass growth has been directly tied to console growth. Game Pass on PC has largely been a dud as has Cloud gaming. And as Jeff Gerstmann detailed in his most recent podcast, (47:20) 3rd party publishers are coming to Xbox asking what the hell is going on with 3rd party game sales. Xbox has created this “I’m not gonna buy any games, I’ll just wait for it to come to Game Pass” consumer. And now 3rd parties are looking at the balance sheet and wondering if developing on Xbox is worth it… So now we have a stalled subscription service, awful hardware sales AND worse 1st and 3rd party software sales.
7 years in, and you’re still speaking about “the future” and the potential of a service that we have nearly a decade of data on. Xbox has had to flip their business model upside down to compensate for it. And their future isn’t any more certain than it was when the service started.

And isn’t their argument that the games aren’t coming to PC day 1? And even then, looking at the sales numbers of PS games on PC I’m not sure Sony would recoup the cost of the PC ports. Outside of the first Horizon game, the sales performance on PC has been meh at best. PC gamers and console gamers spend their money differently. It would be foolish to assume everything is gonna perform like Helldivers 2 did.

Considering how every sports game is just a microtransaction store sold to you for $70, i don't really see your point. Every developer in charge of making sports games do it to abuse its fans, not to release the best possible product for folks to enjoy.
Sports fans are no strangers to spending money. They spend $200 on tickets to go to a game in their $120 jersey. Spend $30 on parking and buy $12 beers and $10 hotdogs. You think an annual $70 purchase and a few $5 loot boxes is gonna scare them off? Not everybody is allergic to spending money like gamers are
