this is a do it yourself kinda test anyway. How do we know these were screenshots from the same display with the display having identical settings and at the exact same point in the game with exact same lighting conditions. this is such a technical thing...but again i say, PS3 is more powerful and more for the future when games demand more hardware power. But, i'm done arguing...its a tie for now bcuz again PS3 uses opengl, xbx uses directx..u cant compare really can u? these are two great systems that are worth their price for different reasons. I'll go as far as to say that. I told myself i was never gonna spend money on consoles ever again but now we have more than consoles here..we have entertainment centers where u can chat, watch movies, play music, view and share photos...i mean...coming from Atari, we've come a very very LONG way!!! Credit to the hard-working game-makers of all platforms!!! I dont think we spend enough time giving thes people credit...especially those of us from the old school of gaming! Alot of people arguing here dont even know what an Atari is believe it or not! For those people, imagine ur controller being a box with one stick and a button. LOL! I'm proud to have experienced the evolution!
ohhh! ok! LOL! thanx! Gamespot still rocks then!!! Well my post had to draw enough attention to have gotten so many thumbs anyway sooo yaaay me! But seriously, these guys need to know how business works and that if ur not being paid, stop debating over crap! ATI vs NVIDIA!!! Superman vs Batman!!! Anything else but this same dumb comparison! PS3 is an investment...360 is for now! Why buy a Core 2 Extreme for $1000 when u can buy a Core 2 Quad for $250....the Core 2 Extreme will handle future apps better bcuz its more powerful. Soon games will have a core 2 extreme recommended requirement. Thats when u'll see why u spent sooo much money for it. Its the same thing for a PS3...when games can no longer fit on Dual Layer, u'll see just how important a Bluray player is...and the same goes for graphics...When the REAL next gen games start to release u'll see what Sony is about. Thats just my reasoning. It had to cost alot to build the PS3 for it to cost as much as it does...buy what u can afford or save and make a decent investment! Now go play ur games and enjoy them...geeeeeeeeeeeeeez! Thanx again gonzalezj1 and frmld!
my last post got removed!!! i can't believe it! It appears i'm too smart for this dumb topic! Gamespot deleted my post and they didn't tell me why...doesn't that seem kinda fishy to u folks who have been reading my posts? i love gamespot because they update me on the latest games etc., but now that i se some unfair comparisons, i'm kinda disappointed at what is happening. Why are the images above not the same? How can u compare 2 images that are not the same? People.........WISE UP!!!!!!!!!!!
@ LeeSan420: Yea, i agree...i really was wondering why i'm not seeing identical pictures to compare. One is zoomed more than the other. Microsoft has money and they could very well be paying gamespot to strike an equality between the 2 systems. I'm really beginning to feel that the PS3 really does have a graphical edge but to protect sales Microsoft is using it's influence and money to make it close. Again, don't be biased, think about it...unless they paid u too! PS3 is more powerful...we should know that by now! I'm just keeping it real! Xbox had an edge over PS2, i had to admit even tho i am a PS fan. It's only logical that the PS3 costs as much as it does because it holds potential. Next Gen has only just begun. The hardware of these systems have not really been tested yet. Watch and see who will upgrade their system. I have a feeling Microsoft is buying time to equal the power of Sony. This world is full of politics and deception...Microsoft could very well own Sony or have big shares. When there's commercial competition, it boosts sales...these people know this. People who aren't being paid shouldn't have time to be taking sides. Ya'll are just pawns and if u knew how much ur marketing was worth u wouldnt be talking for free...wise up!

I'm not a game freak so i may have made a mistake or 2 but i'm a smart consumer so i won't waste my money. Do u really think Microsoft is gonna just give u everything but a Bluray player for all of $300 less??? Don't be stupid! That's my main point! When u consider the specs of a full $500 PS3 and the specs of a $200 Arcade xbox360, the difference is over $300. The 120GB HD is gonna cost u another $130 which is still 40GB less than 160GB. Huge difference! The HD-DVD player add-on which is still not quite Bluray is another $40, The HDMI AV cables, another $40, The Wi-Fi adapter, another $95. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm looking at Newegg right now!
