I can't see your point that kinect is innovative. It's been out for years and has only ruined gameplay while mine was hooked up.
I do want innovation, but the kinect ain't it. If I want to participate in an athletic activity, that's what the park is for, not my tv and living room.
It's too early to say which system will result in a better experience, but PS4 has the better specs, so my first choice here is Sony.
It is less expensive and still comes with all the equipment and features I am interested in. I don't feel I am sacrificing anything when I pony up the $400 for my PS4.
Games are what Sony is using the PS4 for. Microsoft has some weird Tv plans and water cooler, social media ecosystems. Microsoft also had some bizarre software ownership issues they tried to cage us with. I didn't agree with it. Sony is focusing on games, not gaming their customers.
I hate the kinect. It serves no purpose to my gaming needs and/or wishes. Leave it to the folks that like it, but keep your kinect off my xbox1.
I plan on getting the xbox1, but I will wait til I can get one that isn't kinect bundled.
You can have kinect, but why should I have to buy it? I don't begrudge you for wanting kinect. I know it isn't for me, so why do you think I am poor for not wanting the kinect. I have 4 Xbox 360s. I have a PS3 with backwards compatibility. I have three flat screens. I have an original kinect. I have a Wii. I game on my 360 with the nice warhead headsets. I spend a ton of $ on gaming. But it should be my choice not someone else's about how I spend it.
