@elsuavio Hm, or maybe you just don't get what I meant by what I said. I wasn't very descriptive. I hate the free market and I don't like the way prices are dictated. The way this game was made was through a publisher who is only interested in making a profit on what they funded before they even knew what it was going to make. Most of what that $60 price tag is going towards is distribution, retail and marketing costs. The publisher actually only makes something like a 15 dollar profit if they sell as many units as they where hoping to sell. The people that worked on this game don't actually own their creation, Warner Brothers does.
By the way, you can use the word capitalism as a synonym for varies things seeing as how its not refereeing to anything specificity. The actual definition however refers to how everything is corporately or privately owned (I'm sure you know which of these I'm referring to as I say "I hate capitalism") and how prices are dictated by investments costs.
Listen, I'm not an economist or anything so I don't understand the finer details, but what I do know is that I hate the competitive market. I'm not saying everything should be owned by the government but I do think there's a better way to distribute art and creativity and its not through publishers over pricing it. However, whoever has the gold makes the rules.
I'm just glad this game is being made and not just another call of duty, halo, gears of war, or god of war clone. At least Warner Brothers took a risk in putting out something that's different enough to stand out of the crowd.
Feel free to point out how stupid I sound because I really don't know what I'm talking about. Like I said I'm not an economist and I really don't like money. I'm much more of an art enthusiast.
@Trainer_Red I get what your saying. I think all of us "true game lovers" are feeling what your feeling. This game is not the game to be ranting about however. Its not distasteful Its supposed to be satirical. Zombies are played out, that's whats funny about there being zombies in this game. Yeah the main character is extremely sexualized, but that's whats funny about it. Sure non gamers are going to look at a think its distasteful but us true game nerds know whats really going on hear. Its satire on games. Think Bayoneta. By the way, who really cares what other people think about the game industry or just people who play games. Those judgmental people will never understand games if their just looking at one like this and using it as an example on whats wrong with games or the people who play them.
I personally see this game as a breath of fresh air in this AAA day and age of seeing the same things over and over again. Can you name one game that's like this one?
