If you are going stealthy, definitely go for the hardest difficulty. You die pretty quick, so it'd probably be hard to do a assault playthrough on, but I can't imagine playing stealthy on any other way. The danger accentuates the stealth.guynamedbilly
The danger of what? Reloading a save from 5 seconds ago and trying a different approach? Yawn.

For the record, I stopped playing WoW 4-5 months after it's release as well so it wasn't a suprise that Rift held my interest for a couple months only.

[QUOTE="SupermanJim"]

well...thnx all...i decided to give it a try....now for the trial....should i download the game from its homepage?

spittis

Yes, www.riftgame.com/

By the way, isn't the WoW clone argument getting really old already? I'm so tired to see it no matter what MMORPG we're talking about. Rift is a good game, if you are exhausted of the genre or never liked it, that's a different story.

No game comes closer to copying the game mechanics nearly as much as Rift does, however, they don't do it better, and in some instances it is worse. I played Rift immediately on release, I am a power-gamer type and PvPer, obviously, this game wasn't for me. I still say the game is an 8/10 and might be worth your time if you like WoW-esque MMO's. It is getting tired that you can't see the similarities between the two, they are completely overt. Anyway, if I had to make a recommendation, I would say to skip it. Yes, you may get 100 hours played, but at the end of those 100, you will likely just go "That was kind of a waste of time".

Sorry, man. I am not stupid enough to pre-order games for obvious reasons, regardless of the money I save.

Yeah, but really all that I was trying to say is that my (overclocked) X2 4600+ is far from holding me back as ElectricNZ said. WhiteSnake5000

Well here is the deal as far as I can tell.

If you expect to run high settings with current hardware. Even a e6600..you WILL need to overclock your CPU if you want it to be playable. So my thinking was, when I rudely responded to your post was that it WAS holding you back EVEN overclocked. Which I still believe.

Look, I have a Q6600 and an 8800 Ultra. I run the Q6600@3.6 GHz and I do not overclock the Ultra. Games today still can beat my system down at times, so I can only imagine that Crysis will be no different, especially for people with mid-range systems.

Look sorry I disrespected you. That wasn't necessary.

At stock it is only 20% lower, so you do have a point. I would note though that most e6600 overclock EASILY on stock cooling over 3.2 GHz which is massive if you consider it started at 2.4 GHz.

Just to clear up something.

Just because you can get the same MEGAHURTZ out of your processor does not mean it comes anywhere near the performance level of a core2duo.

You shouldn't even think that it would. If you need one example I will simply tell you to look at the MEGAHURTZ of video cards for you example. If you need another because you are not bright, then by your account I should have never upgraded from my 4 year old Pentium 4 3.0 GHz.

WhiteSnake5000

Please don't treat me to your level of intelligence. a 3ghz X2 is on par with the E6600, look at some benchmarks before you start being a smart mouth.

OK! Let me get this straight kid. You are not proclaiming that the you 64 X2 4600 can compete with a lets say e6600 C2D??

Just another note. Every AMD processor out at the moment gets completely stomped by Intel Core2Duo/Quad processors. You should enlighten yourself a little bit about benchmarks and such just so you can get up to speed on the current processors available.
