Probably not and it would void Your warranty. If twisting does'nt work, try something like taking a small piece of tape and folding it over til its thick enough to compensate the wobble, and tape it to one of the feet on the bottom of the ps3.

[QUOTE="freekninjinc"]bend it a little maybe the plastic is just a bit warped.Just kind of give it a twist to true it.soulreaper-4
Sorry to ask you but what do you mean by bend and what does warped means.

The physical case, like give it a bit of a twist to get the bottom to lie flat and even. The plastic could be slightly misaligned/warped by the top and bottom halves of the case not having been when the were assembled together with screws,so a little twisting of the ps3 may straighten it out.And operating it with it wobbly should be fine as long as You dont tip it back and forth all the time-even then You might only get slightly slower loading times from the disc drive wobbling and making it hard to read the disc.

so do you think after that year of having it in the fat and then these 20 days of it being in slim has suddenly caused it to be faulty by being slow, delayed etc

mikeys585
Hard drives usually fail like that-access times become slow due to alot of read/write errors and such, and if it were a faulty drive to begin with,it would work so long then start failing rather rapidly. But if You can back up Your data try formatting it after wards, then if it works,if not replace it with 120 or a new one.

Probably just a faulty drive,so even if You reformat it will come back.I would back up as much as You can and put the 120 back in.Pick up a new drive later, maybe get and enclosure and this 320 in it to use for backing up the 120 when You get a new drive later.

One suggestion I have is focus on the down and forward motions, like commit to them-down,roll to forward-in your head.Making sure You get the down, lets your mind/hand relax while You roll to forward, and as You do wait til You really feel its forward to do the second or start Your next strategy in Your head.It seems obvious, but I find my mind drifts thinking of it as a quarter-circle.Also remember there is an upper limit to how fast You can physically pull it off,and the cpu does'nt necessarily have that so much,so if You try to pull it off when You really wont have enough time,You'll have to be alot more lucky lol!Sidenote:the TE feels like piece of a cabinet for reals I like it.

You can try to replace the laser yourself.I've done it quite a few times myself, just have to be careful(esd damage, reassembly of the drive itself, and handling the laser in general are the only things really).A new laser costs from 40 to 90 or so on ebay(they've gone down recently),just have to see which of the two types yours has-one has two laser lenses the other only one-.Pm me if You wanna try it and need any help.

The old-butt people in this thread have reassured Me I made the right decision to rebuy my smashed joystick and games...and game system lol,and keep gaming for a while longer haha! It's Your fault though if it does'nt work lmao! But really the older I get(i'm 31 now),the more I need to remind myself its just for fun,and if I'm not enjoying it,to pick it up again later when I think it will be.Otherwise I'm wasting a crapload of dough lol.
