You realize there IS a kick-petal for the bass drum, but that's not in the demo units set up at Best Buy right?DancnDude

This is true. But you are saying how the drums feel more like an exercise than playing the drums. As much as I love the Rock Band guitar, it feels the same way. Even though the guitar only has 10 buttons, which is no where near the amount of strings and frets on a real guitar, you still have fun because it's all about the feel and shape of the guitar IMO. Same thing goes for the drums. Even though it has no where the amount of quads, and crash symbols as a real drum, we'll still enjoy it because you are getting the action and reaction of moving your hands, keeping time, and every once and a while get to do your own fills in the game. From what I see, and the opinion that you gave in your post, drums may not be your cup of tea. Because that's what drums are all about. Keeping time, arm movements. This is the reality of playing the drums. But as a drum player, as well as every member of the band, you do your part to contribute to the overall sound. Which is the fun factor in Rock Band.

[QUOTE="freeasia"]Why do you think people will be letdown by the drums? Did you get a chance to try them?jdknight21

Cause you don't really get to rock with them or get that sense the guitar peripheral gives you.

Are you kidding me? Define "rock with them" for me please.

So I got to play Rock Band last night at my local Best Buy. The reaction? As a dedicated guitar hero player, first and foremost, I'm very happy with the guitar hardware and the amount of engaging songs. I can see myself play this game with just guitar alone. The strum bar doesn't have the click sound. At all. Which is awesome IMO. Also the buttons have no spacing between each button, so they are close to each other, and they have the feel of the PS2 buttons in the amount of pressure you have to apply to them. But we all know that's not the point of Rock Band. I happened to have 3 other friends with me, so we all had some quality time with each instrument. Drums were very impressive. It wasn't as difficult to read as I thought it would. Being that I played a little bit of drums for my high school, and for church, I thought the game would mess me up in all sorts of ways. But the drums are very fun to play, especially on the fill sections. And that goes for all instruments, the fills are a great addition to the game. The singing mechanics are very interesting, they measure pitch mostly. And I think the most challenging part about last night was trying to sing on expert level. Not forgiving is the correct words to describe expert singing lol. All in all, I am so glad I waited to buy Rock Band and not buy Guitar Hero III. It's superior to any of the guitar heros in every way shape and form. In terms of both hardware and song selection, not to mention the DLC coming on day one when the game is released. :)

I recently picked up Transformers on HD DVD with the xbox 360 HD DVD player. I have watched the film successfully the night I got it. But yesterday the movie froze when it was trying to do the internet update. Has anyone had this issue as well? I already know my HD DVD player is fine, King Kong and The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift works fine. Just the Transformers HD DVD that has a problem.

So I log on to Xbox live this morning, and I see Super Puzzle Fighter HD on marketplace. "Hell yea!" But then I went into it, and all it had was gamer pics and themes. ; ; Anyone know the release date for SPFHD for XLA? or even the new Street Fighter that's being remade?

I personally like both colors. White one is for my t.v. and I will be getting an Elite to put on my desktop space with my monitor. Something nice to have for LANs when friends come over. But IMO I prefer to have the White cause it goes with everything in my apartment.

I think that the multiple venues in Rock Band will be something to look forward to. I can't wait to play in Japan. :) Homeland here I come! But anyways, it provides for a good experience when you go on the tour mode and you play with friends (online & offline.)

I recently made the switch from 20GB to 120GB on my 360. The boot up time is a lot faster than the 20GB. I have like 74GB left over and it's still fast. But the load time on games, are about the same. But I have noticed a slight change in saving time, which is faster of course.
