Emulators with dedicated controller support in one box with no concern for battery life. That's the main reason. As soon as Ouya get Netflix and Hulu support that will be another reason.
By that logic, Tablets shouldn't exists since laptops and PCs can everything they can.
You're one those that already have a set up where you don't need to use an Ouya, but others don't have that luxury (or they want to tinker with something new)
A month out of the gate I wasn't expecting my Ouya to light the world on fire, but it's worked fairly well and does just about all I want to do with it.
Have you played Shadowgun and Dead Trigger in its later stages with touch controls? It's maddening b/c my fingers get in the way.
As for the Ouya controller, it;s not a masterpiece, but it's decent. Don't knock it til you try it. Even then, you can bluetooth connect a preferred controller and play with that.
It's partially Nintendo's fault for either making some of these games hard to rebuy via their virtual store or not remaking a game and making it available.
Why should I sit on my hands hoping Nintendo (and Sony- Medevil 2 being out or circ for a decade U_U) eventually make what I want to play legally available?
