Todays youth culture, primarily American youth culture, but increasingly world wide youth culture is based sole and intrinsically around how much insult one can heap upon another, all the while maintaining ones "repect level". i.e. teens demand respect levels that would rival the highest royalty when it comes to themselves, and are driven to tear down everyone and everything around them. This is understandable given they are sold violence and a sense of warped individuality since birth.

@BamaGoatt @fishforme2 But you are assuming everyone is a good person with good sense like you obviously are. This isn't the case.

@Xx_DemonSoul_xX But you are putting your numbers in a vacuum. What are the odds that Guns will leave America? LOW. What are the odds something can be done about violent video games? Well, that up to us isnt it?

@BamaGoatt @fishforme2 Insane (please dont use that word) the mentally ill should be stopped from gaming, but it is more than that. Young minds can be influenced negatively, especially with merchandisers. You may not be, but it can happen. Its tough to grasp, but kids should not be playing violent games, i'm sorry but they shouldn't. Just like they shouldnt smoke, drink or drive.

And I expect the reply from the teen aged boys telling me games don't influence their emotions. They probably don't. But to Billy, playing in ANywhere USA, maybe it does... but I don't expect teenagers to give a flying f' about Billy in Anywhere USA. I do though.

Do violent video games influence right-minded adults to commit acts of violence, or de-value human life? Of course not, that's just silly, stupid, and plain wrong in every way shape or form. You could have me playing murder simulators for the next 20 years, and I wouldn't hurt a fly. The problem is I am a right-minded adult. Ultra violent video games are marketed towards 12-14 year olds, whose minds aren't fully formed. Heck my perception of things wasn't fully formed until I was in my mid 20s. I understand all you teenaged boys need boobs and guns and murder in your games, you have been force fed it for the last 15 years - so I don;t blame you for saying "these studies are stupid, go f' your self". Its not your fault that you crave it - but that doesn't make the merchandisers selling violence to children right. And don't whine about the Mature sticker rating because its a ploy to actually sell more to younger people - like "hey you shouldn't play this ultra violent, sex filled game, wink wink."
