I don't think it's just 360 fanboys, it's basically intellengent gamers vs rabid fanboys. Sure some rabid lemmings probably jump on the band wagon, but here's why it's such a hot topic for the gamers that actually have a non-selective memory, and are fairly observent.

first the original Killzone looked awesome... until the game was released. Then we found out it was all regular PR bull****. Now almost 3 years later the cows (or what's left of them) have seemed to have completely fogotten about their lesson from Killzone 1, and falling for the same trick again. As an elder system warrior use to have in his sig "fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you, fool me three times I must be a cow."

Hype surrounding unreleased games tend to be the matra of the ps3, Wait till resistance gets GOTY, wait till motostorm pwns, wait till Lair's released. Not that Resistance, or Motorstorm are bad games, but they didn't live up to the hype at all. Anybody that's seen, and remembered Sony press conferences in the past knows they never live up to the expectations, and it's best to take it with a grain of salt (more like a salt shaker).
