Heard you were leaving so I had to log in after so many year just so I could leave a comment. I remember when you started your own gaming site and then when you started working at Gamespot UK and how excited you were. Even though I haven't logged on in years your vidoes kept making me come back... be it as a lurker.
So... go raibh mile maith agat, adh mor ort agus slan.
I can say for certain that my union died years ago, so that change doesn't upset me so much. Ah but I have the memories of the good times when unions were popular and I was constantly deleting invites from my PM box and was giving out in blogs to people for endlessly sending them and filling my inbox with junk mail. You know because deleting handfuls of those everyday was how I wanted to spend my time. Ah I miss those days!
I only play COD when I'm with my nephew, at that the older version and we still mute every single person before a match and just enjoy having something to play together.
I have just started to get into Indie games, they feel a lot more like the games I feel in love with 10 years ago than the games they're pumping out today. A lot more love seems to go into them.
Without Ellie there would be no game; that is how important she is to the story. Naughty Dog took a risk to have many strong female leads in the Last of Us and it paid off brilliantly. Did you know they actually had to fight with their publisher to have her on the box art, if anything Naughty Dog proved that the market is ready.
At that if people are going on about the there in lack of powerful female leads, then by right shouldn't you be complaining about the too many games that have male white leads, its not just female characters getting the short end of the stick. If video games are sexist then shouldn't you complain they are racist. You can't change it overnight, but the Last of Us is the furthest away from being sexist.
