@Kollskegg @RoOhDiNi @shannybaybay i honestly think its an age thing, and i don't mean that in a patronizing way. i'm a bit old for a gamer these days. i feel many of us went through the pc boom of the 90's while younger people have only had consoles their whole life
@Kollskegg @eyesandsmiles absolutely not, but at the time those graphics were top notch. you have to remember that. graphics don't make a game, at all. but if you are going to play the same game everyone else is playing, why not make it look and feel as good as possible.
i bet the computer you are typing on cost as much as mine. i can also guarantee you that mine plays games that look better than any you have ever seen.
@lethal41 @eyesandsmiles kind of like, "hey i got this amazing sandwich today and it only cost $5!" rather than "I had another mediocre $10 sandwich today." tack that last bit onto me living in New York City and Los Angeles the last 6 years. expensive ass sandwiches out here for no reason.
@lethal41 @eyesandsmiles its not different than people buying a 1.5K macbook and not mentioning the price. people who own gaming pc's mention what they spent because it should become obvious to others that you are getting a lot for your money.
@fredyellowone @eyesandsmiles that's totally fair. i'm not really talking to you here so much as other people who assume a gaming pc is for the rich and famous.
@fredyellowone I guess my final point would be this: If you like gaming, and already need to own a computer otherwise, why not make it a gaming computer. for the money you are spending on consoles you can have an all in one device that can, just from a technical perspective, do everything you are doing better and for less money.
if you love holding a controller and sitting on a couch, peace be with you. buy a console. hating on pc gaming is just ignorant tho
