@john11ver44: threatened? I think Sony would be a bit more threatened if the sales number were closer. Sony could literally stop selling PS4 for 2 yrs and Xbox one including the Scorpio still wouldn't catch up.

@motopram: well to be fair when I game on windows im not paying for windows live subscription fee. When I buy windows operating system is used for way more things then gaming. If you also take into account my operating system will also last me like 4-5 yrs then as far as gaming goes Xbox division has probably only received $2 dollars in 5years since I'm sure profits of me buying a operating system is shared to different departments of the Microsoft company.

The operating system of the business for Microsoft is definitely profitable, their core, and never going away. Xbox division on the other hand, I can't say the same.

@b00me: Phil spencer is a gamer? Never heard of that, and looking up his wiki seems like he's more a business guy that rose threw the ranks of Microsoft in various departments. I think you are thinking of the Sony guy mark cerny who was actually a gamer so much so that he got into game development and also even took a step farther and move to Japan where the console market was born.
