The "Cash For Clunkers" program is no different. This program, to me, was a loser for all concerned from the start. I will give a few reasons that I feel it was a loser.

Compare Prices: You may be tempted to buy from the first online auto parts store that you come across, but don't. At least not until you have done some "comparison shopping". The web is full of delicious deals. The main reason being that you can easily check out a company's competitors at the push of a button. You don't have to drive down any road or travel any length of miles to do that.

Granted some of these kinds of cars are not simple to see unless you live in a big city, but you may find a way around that. You may be able to produce some excellent drawings from decent photos, videos, manufacturers' advertisements or Internet promotions. See You Tube.

I tend to disagree with that assessment. While they are not high in value, if you have enough of them you can make some decent cash with very little hassle along the way.

Cash income -- The problem with cash income, besides being illegal is it is unconfirmed. Jack bought a body shop doing $60,000 sales on the books. The seller showed Jack records that proved to Jack, an experienced body shop owner that the business was really doing $125,00 month in sales. After escrow closed Jack was given the production records for the last 5 years by the general manager that stayed with the company. The business was doing $60,000. Exactly what was on the books! There was no cash. The seller reported every dime. I hate to say it but if someone were willing to lie to the government and their business broker, why would they tell you the truth?
