I think Nintendo could do the same for Zelda with WM+ obviously for combat, both it can also be used to open up new avenues for mini game, side quest and exploration. A fresh take on a working formula, instead of the answer that some people have come up with which is change everything.SepewrathI agree that they shouldnt mess with the formula a lot, its need more tweaks and upgrades than all out changes, and with that in mind I think WM+ will do just that if they use it too much. Id like for them to use it in a similar to NMH and leave the majority of sword fighting to button presses. Zelda isnt supposed to be a sword simulator, its an action/adventure/puzzler and I think they need to refocus on those last two parts a bit more and trying to use WM+ too much would probably detract from those two. Plus I just dont think it wouldnt suit the game too much to be wailing around all the time, Zelda is meant to be played in long stints and doesnt lend itself to flailing around like other game, it was novel in TP but got tiresome(not physically) after a while. What really excites me about WM+ is the possibility for Zelda to use it in puzzles and other interactions in exploring the world rather than just the combat. The combat mechanics are already pretty solid as they are, some updates to the Z-targeting would nice, but they really just need to give us a bit more of a challenge with some better enemy AI and bosses.
1. Reboot the franchise. Emphasize story, characters(major and minor) their motivations, etc.
2. Cel Shaded graphics with an OoT/MM/TP art sty-le.
3. More free roaming, explorable, open and organic world.(Organic in the sense that locations and dungeons are more seamlessly woven into the overworld and not stark departures from normal areas. A dungeon dungeon doesnt have to be this separate isolated entity with no purpose in the world but for Link to linearly travel through to a boss). I want to be in a believable world that feels like its lived in.
4. Fewer items that have wide degrees of use and combination that promote experimentation in combat, puzzles and in exploration of the world.
5. Evolved combat(not motion based). Only use motion based where its appropriate, ie aiming, and appropriate gestures for special moves like NMH does. Make sword play more dynamic and fluid allowing for better combos and fighting multiple enemies.
6. Better bosses/enemies, no more expose weak spot attack, rinse and repeat 3 times.
7. Rupees, give them a meaning again. Make them harder to find. Dont have arrows, bombs, etc be found in grass only in stores and limited crates/pots. Add more optional equipment(useful ones at that not magic armor crap), and weapons like biggorons and fairy swords.
8. Bring back masks and rich interaction with NPCs, expand the masks with things like costumes or something.
9. Bring back an instrument, doesnt have to be an Ocarina.
10. Bring the fight to the world, make the conflict feel real and present. Have the enemy retaliate and really seem like its ravaging the lands and destorying the peoples lives. I want more fights like TPs King Bulbin fight in the field and on the bridge.
What Im trying to say that Peter always mention small things which is something I find unnecessary to mention, PR and developers always mentions "key features".
In the list they are mixing "key features" with small features that few people care about to know, these small features could be mentioned in the game's tutorial/manual for example and it will also be known when the player experience the game by himself and they will not find it interesting as much as "key features" which is silly.
They shouldn't mix "key features" with tiny features and consider them equal by putting them in the same list.
If they wanted to make a more appropriate features list they could have made it like this : 1- Key features 2- secondary features.
This way it is more clear to see what matters most.

Well maybe you should learn to read and investigate first before going on a multipage debate because "they" are regular people on the Fable 2 forums not Lionhead themselves. This is a stickied topic for the Fable 2 forums on Lionheads forums with every confirmed feature, created and compiled by the Fable 2 fans themselves not Peter Molyneux or any other Lionhead or Microsoft employee. This isnt some PR peice, this is for forum use writen by forum members.
[QUOTE="randomguy15"][QUOTE="AlexSays"]Who said it had to be linear? What are you talking about that had nothing to do with this topic?Games don't go from being 100% linear, to not being linear at all.
Even thinking about this is ridiculous.

The first game, the city played no role whatsoever.
You went from mission to mission, beat a boss, and start the process all over again.
No More Heroes 2 will be more of the same. The city won't play a huge role.
The developers won't go from not caring about the city at all, to making EVERYTHING revolve around the city, which is what GTA is.
This is the truth, but I think it would be smart if they gave us worthwhile things to do in the city and more characters to interact with outside the main story.
The game really needs to real side missions and real assassination missions, not just Kill guy X in group of enemies Y in Z amount of time. The city existed in the first game because the idea of being sandbox was there at some point, but they were strapped for time, cash and people. Hopefully Grashopper with have a substatially larger budget and resources to put everything in the game that they wanted in NMH and want now.
Fallout 3. Fable seems a little too nerdy for me. DisPimpin
How so, that makes no sense. Fable 2 has removed almost all stats, it has no armor ratings and is based almost exclusively on skill of the user and use of combos and linking melee, magic and range attacks. Fable 2 is almost all action and very little RPG in the strictest essence of genre.
While Fallout 3 like all other past Fallout games and most especially Bethesda games have a plethora of stats, abilities and armor and weapons ratings along with modifications and then the whole item creation system, its a veritable nerd Eden.
If youre simply basing it off the image that either game has then you need to take a closer look, cause a fantasy world is no way nerdier than a post apocalyptic world, especially when how either game is played comes into effect.
Fallout 3 has guns so I think it'll sell better by default.Senor_Kami
Umm they both have guns.
I think its a great idea. So many times Ive played rpgs where outfits or armors I really love the look of werent good for actual use in combat. By the end of the original Fable everyone was wearing the same plate armor.
Plus if you know anything of the period of time this game is modeled after it makes perfect sense. Once guns were introduced into battle, and especially at this point in time where there are pistol and the proliferation of fire arms is wide spread, as it was detailed in the Tales of Albion, armor means nothing at all. Plate armor wont and cannot block a bullet. So wearing heavy armor means absolutely nothing in combat, but is in fact a detriment because you move much more slowly making yourself a much larger target for gunfire.
