I am mainly referring to pre-2600. I am trying to find a system to broaden my knowledge and understanding of old school games. I would also like this system to have a decent sized library, and good playability. Are any of those old systems even worth checking out, or am I going to be disappointed? I saw an Intellivision at a used game store for $40. I thought about getting it, but then I remembered my Intellivision Lives! game. I already have so many of the games already, and most of them aren't even all that good.

haha why? Aside from being very rare, the games on that thing are all crap.
Yea, I watched AVGN's review. It looks horrendous. Ninja Gadien was was popular, I remember that as a kid. Don't remember playing it though...Duck Tales or Ninja GaidenEikichi-OnizukaThose are good choices, I will look into those...
[QUOTE="elgobbes"][QUOTE="ryanweinmann"]I already own Zelda, and I'm not huge into RPG's. Mainly because I don't have the time to play them. My bad. Usually people put it has Zelda. Well, the reason why I said Final fantasy b/c I saw that you have Dragon Warrior 1-4. Well, anyways I still recommend getting FF even though you not big into rpg. FF is a must have for any NES collection. I tried FF 7, and never made it past the first disc. It's a shame because it's a non-greatest hits, which I know is somewhat sought after. I would get FF if I saw it, I just haven't seen it anywhere.Either Final Fantasy or Zelda

That's another one I've never played...Yeah, Ballon Fight is great, but I would suggest Battletoads over it.
