If looking at it in a single player perspective, COD 3 wins by more than a couple of miles. The game plays like a Michael Bay actions movie, hence, there will always be fans and there will always be haters. Closing the trilogy (is it?) with an epic story, world war 3-esque theme and there is always doom and a sense of urgency for you to win because if not, the world will be torn apart. At least this time around, the story and game is longer and has more content. Its great stuff! BUT, BF3's gun effects with the controller vibration, sound and gun recoil feels more realistic. Story was a drab though and there's no "epic" feel to it and I don;t feel any urgency or its just that the game didn;t suck me up emotionally enough. That and followin g on Balck Op's footsteps made this game's SP a bit dry, sad and have a been there done that feel. So SP alone, I'd go for COD MW3. I don't play much multi player though so I can't say on that end. This debate doesn't matter really, MW3 will always outsell BF3, fan or no fan. Its just what it is.
