This beta started today and I hopped on for a bit to try it out. It still plays like Battlefield, gunplay isn't as tight and responsive as say CoD, feels a bit more loose. If you played 1943 you know what to expect. But who cares about that cause this is an actual battlefield you play on. Tanks, atv, helicopters, i saw fighter jets providing cover fire. You got four classes to choose from each with a ton of upgrades to earn. I played an attack/defend mode, one team needs to set charges at a certain location while the other needs to defend it. As the attacking team blows up the targets they move further into the map. The destrutable environments are great, many times your target is inside a building and the best way to get in is to create your own entrance by blowing up a wall.
I hope there is more than one map and mode, cause I only saw that mode when I played. It looks like this will be a great alternative to the more deathmatch style shooter that MW2 is.

I personally thought it looked fantastic. Even though it's supposed to be a pre-pre alpha built (which explains the jaggies), the game looks stunning. The destrutible enviornments are indeed great, but the shooting mechanics took me a little getting used to. Especially since I tried it right after the 60fps MW2.
I had so much fun driving around running people over with my Humvee. :lol: So many Battlefield noobs playing this beta, it's hilarious. I must have run over 10 straight guys at one point without getting a single rocket thrown my way. :lol:
I know, ive got 30 something dog tags already and ive only been on for like maybe 3 hours of gameplay..lol Although i just recently got the first bad company, my rank on the beta is now higher than on the first BC..lol
