I know I'm not alone in this view, but I think (and hope) that an R18 rating will first allow valid ratings for games that are pushed into the MA bracket, and secondly show parents buying games for an 8 year old that some games are not for kids. Big hope, I know. I find it interesting that almost all the opposition to this rating I've found in forums (not exactly unbiased, but hey) comes from under 18's who don't want to be prevented from getting these games. It's amazing how little you care about these things once you're over that line :)
