Anyone else find that dude on the left just straight up embarrassing? Like he wants to be a character soooo bad? Looks so forced. Maybe that's just how he is though. What do I know? Nothing that's what.
@heqteur: Thanks for setting me straight. I don't recall saying it was OK to do it but if I didn't know then, I certainly know now. The world is a better place as long as you're alive.
Everyone does this. Whenever a review sounds like a commercial be suspect.
For example:
"I LOVE this restaurant!!! Walked in without a reservation and the staff, who were very polite, said not to worry, gave me a quick handy, and sat me right away. The atmosphere was so splendid I thought I was high on drugs that I didn't spend money on. The food was 5 star with 2 star prices. When you're there try the "X" and follow it up with "Y". You WONT be disappointed!! I left a tip and the owner took the money, shoved it back into my pants, then kissed me right on the lips. I will definitely be coming back."
I played this game and even though I did enjoy it a lot, I am very torn on whether or not this game deserves a 9 out of 10. Is it different? Sure. Is it enjoyable? Yes. Should you play it? I say you should. But after completing it its hard to even call this a game. I mean there arnt any real gameplay mechanics. There is an interesting story (or stories) that you want to keep "exploring" to find out how everything resolves. In the end you do feel like you experienced something unique and you do applaud the developers for going outside the box and I would classify this attempt as a piece of art. But I dont know if its a "game" or "fun".
So it all depends on what you expect from a game when you devote some time to playing them. If you are ALL about story then yes this could be a 9 out of 10 (even though in my opinion I didn't find the story to be of 9 of 10 caliber but that's just me). If you require an actual gameplay mechanic mixed into your story than you will not agree with this score.
Refreshing to play a game without having to shoot everyone. Also one of the few "your choices matter" games where your choices so far really seem to have real consequence. My wife and I had a fun time playing this game and are looking forward to this finale. I hope there is some adequate resolution and not too big of a "you'll find out next season, sorry" ending.
