For wireless, I use the Xbox 360 with the Wireless Adapter dongle ($20). For wired, I've been using the Xbox One, which doesn't support wireless, but man it feels good - they totally fixed the d-pad issue, the rumble is better and the sticks have a great feel to them. I also enjoy the button prompts matching up in games, and the native driver support. A wired 360 controller would be OK for wired too, but the overall feel of the Xbox One controller is just better overall so might as well get that if you don't need wireless (which I do when I play on my TV.)

I understand the Razor Xbox 360 clones make a good wired choice also with some additional adjustment features thrown into the mix and illuminated face buttons. I don't like Razor's drivers, though, and it's pricier than the wired 360 standard controller.

Incidentally, you might want to consider getting the $20 wireless dongle while you still can since they are out of production and it's the only way to play on PC wirelessly with an Xbox 360 controller.

I have every platform on the market, and the only two platforms I never play are the WiiU and the 3DS. So no, System Wars doesn't agree with you.

It's more action oriented than Origins, but honestly, it's more like Mass Effect style with deeper party control, which is good IMO. It made a lot of streamlined choices, but after 20 hours, I don't miss the old ways now that I've adapted. It's a lot less clutter and needless minutia.

I haven't played The Evil Within but I can tell you Isolation is hands down the best game I've played in a very long time and is anything but repetitive. It is an outstanding nightmarish journey that will leave you haunted for a very long time. It is a game defying mainstream expectations and not simply a reskinned Amnesia or Outlast as undoubtedly most fanboys here will tell you. It is also beyond terrifying, it scared me as if I was 8 and watching Alien for the first time, or possibly even more so. Amanda is a fantastic character, superbly voiced as well.

I couldn't agree more. It's a 9+ game that got panned by critics who didn't appreciate stealth or are terrible at the genre in general. GOTY contender in my book. Everyone who wished they would make a beautiful interactive version of the film is in for a real treat.

Didn't really see anything interesting in Evil Within... will consider it when it's $10 on Steam, but it looks like one of those games I'd buy and never finish. Shooting everything in sight isn't exactly good for creating tension, and I find grotesque character models insufficient for the status of 'horror game'.

I was going with Alien: Isolation, but after spending about 15 hours with Dragon Age, it's going to have to be Inquisition. Funny thing is, nobody expected the Inquisition.

Yes, the same recovery strategy Sony applied to the PS3 seems to be helping Microsoft this generation.

With of course SONY taking the lead this gen and showing everyone how the by gamers for gamers works when you couple it with Live, Learn and Love. I only wish I had waited to get an Xbone without Kinect(lol).

If anything, this recent Xbox sales surge has shown that average consumers care more about the price than all of the minutia that gets discussed ad nauseam in forums like these. All Microsoft needs to do to catch up is keep their price below the PS4 and keep delivering on the exclusives. I think that's well within the realm of possibility. The PS4 is a fine machine, but as the generation progresses, more and more people will own both.
