The Bears need to take away the deep ball on play action. The Colts' O-Line sells the play pass better than any team in the NFL. Also having Peyton Manning, the master of the play action pass, doesn't hurt. The Bears have a good enough front seven to stop the run without bringing eight or nine in the box often. Protecting the deep ball means receivers will be open underneath, in the flats, and over the middle (where Brian Urlacher happens to roam). Manning needs to be patient enough to check through his progressions and hit the check down. Then again, with the Bears' swarming D, he can't take all day. Rex Grossman doesn't need to have a 38 of 45, 428 yard, 4 touchdown game. He never will because he's not that type of quarterback. This proves Benson and Jones will need to carry the Chicago offense. Pounding the rock early and often will force Bob Sanders to lurk in the box more than usual. This will open up the vertical passing game for Clark, Muhs, and Berrian. Pressure Manning. Get in Manning's head. Change coverages often.
