I'm desperate. The game I can vaguely remember has the same final fantasy 7-8 aesthetic but is not that game. It came out for PlayStation I'd say in the real early 2000's and had a boy I believe as the main character who wore a school boy outfit but he also had a different form or a robot that he could wear that had arms that were brown flat and long... I really cannot think of anything else.
