Don't worry about it. The Sandy Bridge chips all have their IMC's rated for 1333mhz memory by default, hence why all speeds above 1333mhz are labelled as O.C. But the IMC's can support speeds well above 1333mhz without any damage caused.

Any reason why it has to be Intel? Because if you're not looking to spend a lot of money, then an AMD solution would probably be the most cost-effective solution for you.

Looking at I7 960, 2600 and i5 2500 now, im looking at reviews, it seems the 2500 i5 is almost as fast as the I7 2600k, is the i5 2500 best bang for buck?

Ohh and im NOT interested in overclocking, just want something reliable.

I my first started randomly hanging, now it's getting blue screen memory dumps and blue screen shut downs. It's 4+ years old. Please help me pick out the best I7 bang for the buck, dont wanna spend alot of money. And a good relibable motherboard and memory for it. Thanks in advance!
