there are a bunch of nice new layup animations but feels like as soon as you initiate the lay up animation, all resistance from the defense disappears and you glide to the hoop and lay it in.  this would be understandable if you were using drose or dwade but you can do this with anyone.  even low rated point guards and even power forwards.  it breaks the game when i can do one simple cross over and float to the rim anytime i want.  any one else feel this?

I'm not terribly computer savvy but I want to get into pc gaming. Is there anything against getting a laptop for a gaming pc, or is it better to get a desktop? I've heard that heavy gaming on a laptop can shorten its lifespan and such. It's probably worth noting I'm looking to play games like witcher 2 and the old republic on as high settings as possible.

also if you could throw some ideal specs at me so I know what I'm looking for when I'm browsing around, that would be good too.

whenever I click the PS Store, it loads for about a minute (which is already too long to open the ps store) then the screen turns into the default background (sparkly stuff floating around) with no XMB, and stays like this until I press circle and quit the loading operation. Why is this happening?

yeah its pretty silent but the loud 'click' noise that followed 4-5 seconds after shutting down is what is worrying me

after i turn off my ps3 after playing for a few hours..i can hear it shutting it down then powering off. the fans stops spinning and so forth. then about 5 seconds later i hear a startling CLICK. the same kind of noise i would make if i were to flick the ps3 with my finger. is it supposed to make this noise? is overheating causing it to make this noise? my ps3 is the newer 120 gb ps3 slim.

my launch ps3 died a few weeks ago so i got a ps3 slim. but as i take the usb cable for the controller out of the plastic i notice that the tip is smashed and dented and wont fit into the controller. i just bought it an hour ago but i cant go back to the store because theres a snowstorm. and i cant go tomrrow because i have class all day. i wont have a chance to go until the day after tomorrow.

so wht do i do? do i take the entire ps3 + reciept back and ask for a new ps3 just because the usb cable is smashed? or should i just use my old ps3 usb cable and trust that everything else is sound.

p.s. i already turned on the ps3 and stuff..was that a bad move?
