@dzimm: exactly, I mean they are using unreal engine for quite some time to do car commercials, so yeah its quite remarkable what the engine is capable of, I get it is is photo realistic, but cmon, the most popular game is Fortnite, its not photorealistic, and when I boot up a game, o dont want photorealism, I need escapism from reality, to relax and enjoy art.

@tingtong: exactly, everything has to be super realistic...but why? People judge open world games by how big the map is? whats the point of that? And really, graphics technology is a tool, I will not remember a room which looked, well...like a normal room. what I will remember is art direction, floating cities, interesting original creature design, temples, ruins etc. not a sink, or a wall...its just ridiculous to watch a video when they zoom in so much, just to show the texture detail, when I'm playing all I need is a good enough texture detail, I will never stop and get few inches from my TV to zoom in and just be amazed at a texture :D whats the point? its just waste of resources. I guess where they lack creativity, they try to compensate by Recreating stuff...wow...just wow
