@goodguymalachai: Fucking thank you dude, I get so mad every time I see that "From the publisher of Dark Souls" shit! That isn't a smart headline and it's totally misleading, with that logic you could present Dark Souls being made by the publisher of Dynasty Warriors Gundam, the publisher is irrelevant.
Its hard to judge whether or not it could be considered a review or first impression. Yeah, 20 hours is a long time to be playing darksouls 2 but at the same time in terms of game progression he only completed 5 boss fights. This would most likely mean that he was at the Bastille, meaning he was still pretty early in the game, which also means he probably died a lot(seeing as it took 20 hrs). All you guys are right, this guy does have every right to write this article and I agree with some of his claims, but by now I'm used to formula of the souls games and I enjoy them. When I first played Demon souls It took me over a year to beat because I wasn't used to a game like that. I remember really hating that game some times but its something that grows on you. Anyway I'm going to end this by saying that Justin is entitled to his opinion. We are all going to get angry over any slander or praise towards the series we love or hate. I would just prefer his experience to be based off the whole rather than just a small portion.
The problem that I have with this with this review is that this reviewer only played a small fragment of the game. I don't think that this guy really has credibility to judge this game when he has only just scratched the surface (then again what credibility do I have I'm not a reviewer and this game isn't for everyone)I just don't see the need to write a negative review based on a player who didn't really experience the game in its entirety. In my opinion this game isn't tedious or very difficult for that matter but that's just me, I'm bias because I've played the souls series and this guy hasn't. I'd rather read a second opinion by someone who has played the previous games or at least completed this game and didn't like it. This guy doesn't have to like the game, but at the same time he doesn't need to write a review to justify it.
