@GreySeven: Haha, so the answer to this is really dumb. I got my wisdom teeth out last week when the deadline for publish came in, so my face was all types of fucked up all week. I had to record the voice-over while drinking ice-water and chocolate milk. In short, making these was a bit of a nightmare. That's why I'm not on camera and there is a lot less scripting. So if these end up rubbing up close to what we've all come to expect as advertising - I'll take a certain amount of criticism on that. But I also think that's a problem with wider games coverage in general that I've always brushed against whenever we make these videos. Appreciate the feedback though mate.
@nomailx: This has absolutely nothing with advertising mate. I know we're not used to seeing high-quality video features about games that aren't bought and paid-for. But sadly that's a wider issue within video games coverage that I am very intentionally trying to push back against. Hope you enjoyed the features regardless. A lot of time and passion went into them.
@TashunkoSapa: No advertising here mate. I produced the videos, and even booked the hotel and flights myself. I make a point of ensuring that's the case with these features. Hope you enjoyed it! 2 more advertisements are hitting the site over the next two days.
@binky66: Are user comments on a review an attempt to change the minds of the reviewer? No, we're just having a conversation about how strange it is such a short, linear game has such a crazy range of scores. And our thoughts about how that could possibly have come about.
