Well I finished it yesterday that is. Way too much story exposition that had me on a rollercoaster of emotions until I was frothing at the mouth by the end of it. I think I have all 6 endings but I still feel like there are some discrepancies that need to be dealt with. Like I... missed something, in the story. What did you guys talk about after finishing the game? I've read a few topics on this forum. So June is... Zero? She's the guy in the mask? And she's a cold-hearted woman or something that used deception or whatever (something that I read on 999's forum board place) to get what she wants? What? By the end of it while they were driving in the desert and the game just ends I was seriously just... Grrr I don't even want to talk about it. I mean with Ace I was a bit sad because even though I suspected him immediately I loved his silly puns and jokes and actually thought he was cool before the first non-bloody-death ending (ending... 4 I think?) made me realize he was a bastard after all and my initial instincts were right. Even though he was a monster I just loved his scenes at the end for Ending 1 when they're in the truck and Junpei keeps putting the tape back on. That part just killed me, had me in stitches. So it wasn't as bad as my suspension of belief over what the hell June is because I just don't get it. Past, present and future. But god there's so much I want to say that I haven't, yesterday I was a lot more boiling with rage and wanting to hear answers and people's thoughts, but I decided to sleep on it. Just... let's get back to June. And I guess her... brother? I didn't get Santa's deal with his sister exposition in the steam engine room (Door 6 I think, don't know which ending) and his other story background in Ending 1. So with June. Um... I don't even know what to ask here. For the most part near the end I just... went with it. The morphing fields or whatever, the time is like a river which just made me think of Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time the entire time they were talking about that since I was instantly reminded of the Prince's speech. Ugh my thoughts are in such disarray! Damn this game for doing that to me. I really don't even know where to begin asking and what, if I post this now it'll look like a rambling incoherent mess. That's what this game has done to me, I hope you guys can take sympathy with that v__v Screw it I'm just gonna post this and let my thoughts gather as we go along >__>

Anyway I'm surprised no one here is interested. What is up with this forum? Maybe I should also put it in the DS/3ds forum?

I don't know if I agree with that, for various reasons. It's too convenient that every character from the old game has a... a doll for them? Really? There's just no context for it. There barely ever was for Kurow. Man the time travel thing was annoying. Still, at least I'm glad to know there are others that played this game, few and far between as they are.

Hell, how many even played this game? Stuff like who the hell Kuni is, I can't believe they left that ambiguous for a sequel. Hell I was downright surprised to see this sequel, but not unappreciated. Even as a handheld gamer first and foremost, I'd have to say Okami is one of the greatest video games of all time and while I didn't mind this toned down sequel, quite frankly... that one save file pisses me off. Among other annoying quirks this game had. This is the first time in my life that I've actually wanted a game to be on a console instead of a handheld. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I don't know I just rushed through the game by the end to get the ending and be done with this. It's not without its charm but... well I have two conflicting sides to say about this game and... sigh. So what other plot holes or unanswered stuff are there? I also can't believe they did time travel again. I swear to god I felt like I was playing Back to the Future part 2. If they keep throwing time travel around, it can really get messy and annoying. I was bracing myself for some big grand spoiler twist about Okamiden or something because of something I read on this board or another forum on gamefaqs and in the end... no such thing occurred. Ah well. Barely anyone played this game so I don't doubt that this board is slowly reaching dying status. EDIT: About Kuni - I don't know why but something he said at the end made me think that he was... I dunno, Susano as a kid or something? A blood relation of Nagi in some way? What? Ah I don't know, I was just thinking of the most absurd thing this game could throw at me.

The gba games for me are a bit too bright on a DS screen from what I've played, and the color palette... well sometimes I can't see too well, the brightness actually kind of blurs somewhat. Just a little. A teensy bit. Also, every time I press the "A" button, a message appears. That's kind of an annoying quirk when in RPGs you pretty much always press "A" to find hidden items, potions, elixirs, etc in obscure places. So I usually just mash "A" whenever I'm looting some random NPCs house or whatever. Oh and battles. Like the fact that when you target an enemy and it dies, the character doesn't hit the next enemy, you just lose a turn altogether. That's definitely a quirk I'd like to see removed in a new collection of the 2 gba games. So I think a DS collection would fix that. There's certainly nothing wrong with the gba games and these complaints are superficial, but I always thought it odd to release a third entry when it's quite possible that a new audience can be brought in with the previous games. It can improve sales after all. Hell the console industry have been doing it from anything like God of War to the Ico Collection to Silent Hill and MGS and DMC. Holy hell that's a lot of collections, and most of them crappy. Read: all of them. I don't think they'd butcher up two (or three?) games for the Nintendo DS or even that new 3ds gizmo eh? I would have liked a Golden Sun collection to play the games since they give off an interesting premise that I would have liked to explore on the DS. Especially with Golden Sun 2's ability to import a save from the first game with all levels and items, I think that's a bad-ass feature, the absolute best. And this time without link cables since you know, that's old news.
