@Synthia One more thing that you might want to tell a hierarchy.
When changing things on your site in the forum section. Don't you think it would be a good idea what the people who post think of it first instead of jumping the gun?
I realise you have issued out little chat meetings so to speak and get peoples insight anyway. But i suggest you go to the forums yourselves, where people will pay more attention and discuss it with people there instead.
Make a section dedicated to the changes regarding them and let them speak as a wider audience. Then you yourselves will get a wider knowledge of it and what has to be done.
If you make the right decision you'll get praised for it. If you make the wrong, then it'll backlash in this section of gamespot.
But the only way to find out is to take in my suggestion.
@Synthia How can you expect people to not be volatile with the changes you are making. And especially if you're not going to listen to them.
The changes you make here regarding forum users should be taken into account first before you make up your minds.
But will you bother to take their views into account?
Take it like you see it. This isn't a big deal to most people because they aren't always actively posting on a forum, or either they just completely have no knowledge of your changes and that statistic you pulled out reverts to the many people flicking through gspot every now and then, which is why it's such a high percentage. So they won't see this anyway.
But the people who have seen it and who have commented on this subject so far are overly not happy at all about unions being taken away from them.
Surely that's something you need to acknowledge so far.
Thing is GS. What you're to stupid to realise is that yes, unions may have a 1 percent ratio according to your statistics of people viewing this site. However, there certainly isn't 100 million people actively posting on a forum, let alone a high figure viewing them and unions being a small percentage of that.
There's a higher percentage of people posting in unions and that's what you have to be looking at.
The fact you even compared that part of your site as a percentage to the whole site in general is ridiculous. Of course that will be the matter, because unions are a very small part of this site as a whole, but ALOT of people contribute to them.
If you're moving forward and are taking the time to do so. Then you have enough time to keep unions up and running.
You just can't be arsed. And already people that have dedicated most of their time on these forums as part of a union are making their own.
