@leeko_link Yep. The industry is pretty unforgiving at this point. Although, even good games fail >_<

@Strydarr And, more to the point, Capcom asked them to do it.

@fend_oblivion Well, it might be full of debug code, not optimized, etc. We'll have to wait and see.

@Derpalon I won't disagree that DMC4 had those problems, and I liked the game. The board-game thing could've been left out, too.

As for Dante needing or not needing to be changed, well, we'll have to agree to disagree. And, honestly, I'm assuming the folks at Capcom felt the need for the change, otherwise it wouldn't have happened. I was personally hoping that the torch for the series was going to get handed off to Nero, who I found much more fun to play.

@killswitch88 @USDevilDog I always thought Dante was a bit of a douche... a 13-year old's idea of a badass.

@wolfgang12193 Probably because they're afraid that the PC version will get pirated like crazy, so they'll release it after the console versions in hopes it doesn't affect sales.

@7C7R7N7 Are you playing the HD collection? How is it? Or is PS2 and PS3/360?

@King-And-Knight Hopefully there'll be one, although I'd imagine they'll have to get someone to do a port. So far as I know, Ninja Theory has never done any PC games. Although going from 360 to PC is easy enough, there's a world of difference between a simple port and a great one, and I'm sure you'd want a great one.

Also, Capcom seems to wait a few months before releasing a PC version when there's a console version out. Not sure why :/

@MajahretDiviera @demetrius1991 Nobody likes games exactly the same or for the same reasons. Also, the prospect of revamping the series, overhauling, has appeal for some people.

Speaking for myself, I want an interesting story, I want solid gameplay, I want an excellent combat system, etc. And, for a reboot, the ability to start from scratch, replan, pretend DMC2 never happened (never played it, but never heard anyone say anything good about it), etc., could well be interesting. I'm not so tied to how things were that I can't be excited to how things could be.

But, its one of those things - we'll really have to wait and see the final game, how it fits into the scheme of things (seems to be a young Dante before he got all badass), etc., before we can really say if its deserving of the name. Personally, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt first. 2013 isn't very far away, and when it does come out, you'll have reviews here and elsewhere, hopefully a demo, etc., to make your choice on. I hope Ninja Theory suprises us all.

There's been more over the years, print and online, but I'm not going to spam any more links. If you're interested, you can search. Bottom line, for me, is if the game industry wants to do better, it can't keep doing things exactly the same as it has been.
