@unreal849: I remember playing WaW on Veteran. Why I ever bothered to do that I can't remember, but on the last mission I still have nightmares about the Tsunami of Grenades that was thrown at me. Thank god I grew up and saw what actual game design was.

@WeskerTeam: Dead Space ain't shit if you ask me, but yeah. Alien Isolation is godly. I bet you couldn't find another example on AI's level, though.

@ZIMdoom: Agreed. Survival Horror is a dead genre that nobody knows what to do with. They tried with Evil Within and had mixed success if you ask me. Someone should pick up the ideas and criticisms of that game, and evolve.

Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 were amazing, and were believable in terms of story because it took place in a small time period when nobody knew what Umbrella was up to. But after that, it got stupid.

Capcom themselves have shown ridiculous amounts of incompetance. They've also shown that they're a bunch of lying morons, like what they said about Street Fighter X Tekken. They blamed it's lack of success on the fighter genre dying, not on the fact that they had DLC on the disc. They did similar bullshit with DMC's lack of success, and they do it now with Resident Evil 6's lack of success.

I'm not holding my breath for Resident Evil 7, and nobody else is neither. I am getting ready for Nightcry though. That should be interesting.

@OneStrong2: Nah. Can't agree. I hate feminists and SJW's, but I can't really say there was even a hint of feminism in the first Tomb Raider remake. In fact, the trailer alone pissed them all off. Male characters have never been effectual in Tomb Raider, really. Plenty of female characters spilled out onto the canvass and were developed over the men. Amanda and Natla, for instance. What other good male characters were there? Old, useless-ass Verner Von Croy? That one dude in Angel of Darkness, a game practically nobody played? I honestly can't think of one.

The papa bear and the old, scottish dude were cool. Didn't stick around long, but then who did, really? Lara was on her own most of the time. My biggest issue was Lara's third layer. She wasn't fascinated with anything. She didn't seem knowledgable, she didn't seem to want to delve any deeper into the truth behind the island. She was just forced to go down that path.

@Arkhalipso @pcty PS2 was the Era of the JRPGs. Good JRPGs litter my shelf with PS2 plastered on them.

PS3 is last gen, and I still can't say I have one 'must have' JRPG for it. It's laughable.

@RyanSaotome I can't help but wonder if you're just in denial. Name me one must have JRPG for the PS3. You can't, can you? Perhaps one or two come to mind - probably something like Ni No Kuni (which I think is Overrated, but it's still good).

I can name at least ten on the PS2. Face it, JRPGs are pretty terrible now.

@dipdish No, it's kinda both. That's a dumb thing to say. Persona is generally the same genre as Mind Zero, but it's considered top of the pile.
