Charlie & the Chocolate factory's not supposed to have a morale value. It's supposed to be entertaining. Sure, Roald Dahl's never gonna like any movies of his books (he didn't like Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, he wouldn't like the style of Charlie and the chocolate factory, and he definetly wouldn't like Fantastic Mr. Fox) but Burton and Depp did a great job.
