Thomas10soa said: "japanese people just hate americans and wont buy there products" So I'm assuming you know Japanese people and have been to Japan, right? Your comment is offensive/ignorant. American computers, music, clothing, and more are all extremely popular in Japan. Don't judge a country and its' people based on the sales of the 360.

"It's because no one likes the 360 in Japan, cause it's an American console." That statement couldn't be any more false. They love American music, food, movies, computers and other technology. It has nothing to do with the fact that the 360 is American made. I think the reasons why American games do not do well in Japan are as follows: 1. Japanese games have dominated for 30 years. From Pacman to Donkey Kong and so forth. When the 1983 video game crash occured, who picked up America? Japan did, with the NES. Why would they all of sudden change their tastes to American games just because Microsoft released a console? 2. Japan does not care for huge HD televisions, nor first person shooters. 3. Handhelds are far more successful in Japan than consoles right now. There are hundreds of Japanese made handheld games that are awesome, I can't think of many American made handheld games that are enjoyable. There has never been a successful American-made handheld system. 4. Finally, character/level design. American games are typically set in grayish brown levels with no color (Gears of War, Call of Duty, Halo), and the main character is the typical "anti-hero" who looks like a typical guy off the street. Japanese levels are typically more colorful and imaginitive. Characters like Link, Kirby, and Sonic don't look like the typical badass, "I need a weapon" kind of guy. I know people will disagree, because as American gamers, we like American games. But our any of my points false? Tales of Vesperia may of helped the 360 move 25,000 units one week, but the next week, it dropped back down to 7,000 units sold. Nintendo has had weeks in Japan where the Wii sold over 145,000 units in a week. Now go ahead and disagree with my points/facts for no reason.
